Eric Lewis & Friends 13th Annual Show at Fishstock – Sunday, Sept 4th

FISH CREEK, (Aug. 29, 2011) – Door County’s favorite bluegrass performer returns to Fishstock for the final show of the season, Sunday, September 4^th, 7 pm till the cows come home!! Tickets $15.00 at the door.

Eric Lewis is a multi-instrumentalist who performs and records with some of the top Memphis artists.  In addition to working as a duo with Tommy Burroughs, Eric has also toured the country with the first national tour of "Patsy!", E-squared artist Cheri Knight, and Prairie Home Companion favorites, Robin and Linda Williams. In 2003, Eric received the Premier Player Award for Strings by the Memphis Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. And in 2008, was named Best Male Musician in Door County Magazine’s reader’s poll.

As usual Lewis brings along an entourage of phenomenally talented musicians. Joining Lewis this year for her first Fishstock experience is Carolyn Martin. Martin is an astonishing, award winning, western swing singer, performing with her husband David Martin. Eric first began working with the Martins in Jason Petty’s band, doing shows such as “Marty’s El Paso” and “Country Royalty: A Tribute to Hank Williams and Patsy Cline.”

 

Another newcomer this year is multi-instrumentalist Rory Hoffman from South Dakota. Tommy Burroughs, Jimmy Davis and Pat Judy return to complete this year’s sensational line up. Katie Dahl and Rich Higdon will be performing in the loft at intermission.

So join us to celebrate the end of a great summer at Fishstock with a plethora of great music including smokin’ hot instrumentals, Bluegrass, Country, Western Swing, Polkas, singers/songwriter-style music and maybe even some jazz! Expect three great sets or more as the crowd demands and dancing as the night goes on!
